We hosted a baby shower for Jenny and Matt to celebrate Gabe\u2019s upcoming birth in November. What a fun time we had even prepping for it although there were the normal \u201cGaaa\u201d moments. Cherie did a lot of the planning and idea research, Lori did a ton of idea research (on Pinterest naturally), and I coordinated much of the food prep and keeping everyone away from food poisoning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the hottest July on record, it cooled down a bit in August and actually rained on the day of the shower. Who woulda thunk it!? Thank God for our covered porch and large great room. We had 23 guests and family, a taco bar, \u201cbun in the oven\u201d sliders, \u201cbabies in blankets,\u201d a stroller melon salad, beautifully decorated shortbread cookies and a stroller cupcake set up. Plus assorted snacks of course!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And of course, you gotta play games! We had Guess the baby food (Blech), baby trivia and word scramble, Don\u2019t say Bay-bee, and Diaper Pong. Many, many laughs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
