I did also start the Tower Garden in Wilton for even more Romaine and other greens, but I never did figure out how to grow peas in it without totally messing up the chemical levels. That whole nitrogen fixing of legumes just messes everything up!

So I have planted soft necked garlic, yellow onions, snow peas and snap peas so far in my outdoor garden. They are all starting to sprout. I started romaine, collards, chard and Kai laan seedlings inside to transfer next time we have decent sunshine. We are in a four day rainy period right now. Atmospheric river or bomb cyclone. So far, it has hit just north of us and up. Thanks goodness. I want rain but a half inch a day is very nice, not inches a day! The grass is greening up and the trees all look pretty and “happy” to break the drought!

Sprouting garlic

Here come the snow peas!

I still have green beans, and purple “green” beans growing, one zucchini squash barely hanging in there, cherry tomatoes that look very sad but ripening still, several tiny pumpkins and a butternut plant in the garden from the summer.
