I keep getting asked for my recipes so that is why there is the sudden influx of recipes into this blog. Trying to get the best ones in before our trip! Anyway, this is one of our go-to recipes because it makes for a quick meal since the sourdough is only a flavoring here. No rise time!
Ingredients:
1 cup sourdough starter
1/2 cup water
1+/- cup unbleached flour
1/2 tsp salt
Whatever “pizza” toppings you want to add such as mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, black olives, pepperoni etc
Mix thoroughly until not sticky. Add flour as needed to make a dough you can roll out. I make 2 rough circles of dough from this.
Heat a frying pan or griddle to 325F. Place circle of dough on heated surface for about 3-4 minutes a side. After flipping the dough add your toppings and cook for 4-5 minutes. Now you have a flatbread “pizza” in record time! No oven, and no rise time.
