Last week was a very busy, and very fun week. Dave and I drove to Stansbury Park, Utah for a cousin’s wedding on Wednesday 9/2 in the evening. The wedding was very nice, small and simple and quite fun. I think it was just what Reid and Lilly wanted!

Then early Friday morning, we picked up Auntie Mike and drove back home. Got here about 5:30 pm and had time with the kids and getting Mike settled into the apartment. We were all tired but made it home. The Tesla charging stops work well across Nevada because you have to stop every1.5 to 2 hours to hit the chargers and we always get out and walk. Good for the legs!

Saturday was busy getting ready for the shower on Sunday here at MBD Farm. Lots to do and I know the Rogers household was busy also making so many desserts. They had the Sheppards who are go getters to help. Cherie and Eric hosted a dinner for the Engels and the family that was here and it was a very relaxing evening. It is always nice to get to have some time with family before a big shindig! Their new place in Sutter Creek is perfect for hosting meals! Cherie looked tired but seemed to be doing ok.

Sunday was the big day. Naturally we started by cleaning both houses! People coming over, you know! Then setting it up and serving 43 people! Thank goodness for Lori with all the planning and so much effort setting up/taking down, Kris and the Sheppard crew for getting food ready as well as set up/take down, and always Des for being the energizer bunny and getting everything back to normal! Cherie and Eric had a lot of fun, and we presented well in front of the guests, especially the Engel clan and friends who had not seen the homestead. We had Aunt Tami from Florida, Aly and Thom from Bozeman, and Auntie Mike and the Sheppards from Tooele. The Engels, Purdys and Kittlesons came from Snohomish. Kathy and Mary drove from Fresno and Lexie and Allison from the Bay Area. It felt like quite the support system for this new baby Engel! So happy for them.

They are going to be great parents!

Obviously many more pictures were taken by many people. One nice thing about using evite.com was you can download pictures to one place. Matt and Jenny have such a great property here for these kinds of get togethers and are gracious hosts, making it feel very comfortable for the guests. Cherie and Eric are truly lucky. Can’t wait to meet baby!
