People have liked my cookies for years and I don’t really understand what makes them special. They are out of the Pilsbury cookbook I received as a wedding present 41 years ago! Very slight changes!

Ingredients:

1.5 cups unsalted butter, softened

1.25 cup light brown sugar

1.25 cup white sugar

3 eggs

1 tsp vanilla paste

4.25 cups AP Flour

2 tsp baking soda

1 bag dark chocolate chips

Directions:

I use my Kitchen Aide mixer most of the time to make sure the wet ingredients are thoroughly creamed.

Preheat oven to 365F. I use silicon sheets on my cookie sheets to prevent sticking.

Mix butter and sugars until well mixed. You are making a sort of caramel. Then add eggs, one at a time, and finally the vanilla. Mix this well. I generally add only 2 cups of flour and mix, then the baking soda and then the final amount of flour until barely mixed. Lastly add the chocolate chips. This makes a lot of cookies so I tend to make them at least scooped tbsp sized.

Bake for 11-12 minutes or until they barely look dry. Cool slightly and enjoy!

This is a large batch of cookies and they freeze well in small quantities! Guten Appetit! Provecho!
