This entire trip started with the planning for Emily’s high school graduation on May 22nd, and the eclipse on April 8th. And here we are, heading to Tooele, Utah – graduation time! We are actually staying in Lakepoint and shuttling between there and Auntie Mike’s house in Stansbury. Matt, Jenny and Max, and Cherie and Eric will be staying with us. It has been some time since we’ve seen any of them!
Emily is the last of the Tooele cousins to graduate high school since Sydney is now down in Saint George. Off we went to the Salt Lake City Delta Center again, on a Wednesday afternoon at 2 pm. Not entirely convenient. Cherie and Eric drove down from Bozeman that morning and got there with plenty of time. Imagine that- Cherie is early!! It is so nice that we can now attend these graduations since we’ve retired!!
Emily is quite the young woman!! She became very involved with student government her freshman year and was SBO president this year. She has continued to play softball also and maintained stellar grades, naturally. It has been fun watching her mature through Facebook when we couldn’t always see her in person. She has decided to attend the University of Utah in SLC although her major changes. Lately it has been math and psychology. She gave by far the best speech, including those from the faculty and administration! We are looking forward to watching her college transformation too! Go Emily!
